Wang is the most commonly used resin for solid phase peptide synthesis. It can be loaded with a variety of amino acids and grow the peptide chain sequentially. The cleavage of peptides from Wang resin can be simply achieved by treating with TFA followed by ether precipitation and centrifuge.
The pre-loaded Wang resin prepared by Genemed Synthesis Inc. is based on high quality polymer and reagents. The polystyrene supports (1% DVB cross link) are available in 100-200 and 200-400 mesh sizes for different applications. The substitution levels of the pre-loaded Wang resins range from 0.52-0.60 mmole/g.
